This year's Fall Fest is dedicated to our very own dancer, Camila, and
her family as they navigate her cancer journey.
As a dance family, we believe in showing up for one another, celebrating every milestone, and surrounding our dancers with love when they need it most.
Join us for a FREE EVENT full of games, dancing, music, food, and community. . .
all while raising funds to directly support Camila and her family.
š Our Mission
In 2024, The Dance Factory had the incredible opportunity to attend the Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles as nominees for the Peopleās Choice Award with our production, Matilda. What began as an exciting trip filled with opportunities to connect with the dance industry became something far more meaningful. Through our experience with the Dancers Against Cancer Association and Benefit Show, we witnessed the power of a community united by compassion, resilience, and a shared commitment to supporting families affected by cancer.
That experience stayed with us long after we returned home. It reminded us that dance is more than the art we create on stage. It is the community we build, the lives we touch, and the support we offer when someone needs us most. We left Los Angeles with a desire to bring that same spirit of giving and awareness into our own Lincoln community.
When we began planning Fall Fest, our intention was to raise funds and awareness in support of Dancers Against Cancer. But when we learned that one of our very own TDF families, Camila and her family, were facing a cancer diagnosis, our focus shifted without hesitation.
Camila is a beloved member of our dance family, and her love for dance, her friends, and the TDF community has touched so many of us. At just seven years old, she is navigating circumstances no child should have to face. Her family has shared their journey with us, and we want to honor their wishes while surrounding them with the love, encouragement, and support of their TDF family.This year, Fall Fest will be a day dedicated to bringing our community together in support of Camila and her family. Through dancing, games, laughter, music, and fundraising, we hope to create a day filled with joy while helping provide meaningful support during this chapter of their lives.
Our original mission of spreading cancer awareness and giving back remains at the heart of this event. However, when someone in our own community needs us, we believe in showing up. There was no hesitation in redirecting our efforts toward one of our own.
Because at The Dance Factory, we are more than a studio. We are a dance family. And when one of us needs support, we come together.
