Welcome to The Dance Factory's 2026–2027 season! We are so excited to welcome back our returning dancers and families, along with all of the new faces joining our TDF family this year!

We are looking forward to another amazing year filled with dance, growth, friendships, creativity, and memories. As we get ready to kick off Season 29, please take a few minutes to review the information below. This newsletter contains important studio policies, payment information, class expectations, and helpful resources to get everyone prepared for the first week of classes.

 CLASSES BEGIN TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH!

HOLIDAY CLOSURES & IMPORTANT DATES

Planning ahead for the season? We've got you covered! Please review the attached TDF Holiday Closures & Important Dates calendar for a full list of scheduled studio closures, holidays, and other important dates for the 2026–2027 season. We recommend keeping this calendar somewhere convenient and referring back to it throughout the year when planning vacations, activities, and other commitments. Please note that additional dates or schedule changes may be communicated throughout the season as needed. Be sure to keep an eye on your TDF emails for the most up-to-date information.

 COMING SOON: TDF PARENT PORTAL

We are excited to announce that our new TDF Parent Portal will be launching on our website in January 2027! The Parent Portal will serve as a convenient hub for TDF families to access important studio information, resources, updates, and more—all in one place.

We'll be sharing more details and instructions as we get closer to the launch!

 CLASS FEES & PAYMENTS

Monthly tuition is due within the first seven (7) days of each month. We understand that unexpected circumstances can happen. If you are experiencing a situation that may prevent you from paying on time, please contact the studio in advance so we can discuss a reasonable grace period. If we are not contacted and tuition is not received within the first seven days of the month, a $10 late fee will be applied to the account. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping accounts current and communicating with us when circumstances arise. Please review our Monthly Tuition and Class Payments.  All class tuition is paid monthly at a flat rate and prorated annually

  • Payments received after the 7th day of the month will be charged to a $10 late fee.

  • All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • $20 returned-check fee will be applied to any returned checks.

  • Families who would prefer to pay the full 10 months of tuition upfront may contact Miss Vickie for more information.

  • Check

  • ACH withdrawal (1% processing fee)

  • Credit/Debit Card (3.5% processing fee)

TDF also offers automatic monthly payments through ACH or credit/debit card. If you are interested in setting up automatic payments, please contact Miss Vickie at tdflincolnri@gmail.com.

DRESS CODE & CLASS ATTIRE

Please review the attached TDF Dress Code & Attire Guide, which provides a breakdown of appropriate attire for each class and age group. We ask that all dancers arrive dressed appropriately and prepared for their class beginning the first week of the season.

For your convenience, our TDF Merchant Storefront includes recommended attire and clothing options for dancers. You can access the storefront through the Linktree in our social media bios.

 DANCE SHOES

Please also review the attached Dance Shoe Requirements PDF. This guide provides a detailed list of the required shoes for each dance style and class. Our TDF Merchant Storefront also includes recommended dance shoes and footwear options to help make shopping for your dancer's needs easier. The storefront can be accessed through the Linktree in our social media bios, or through the link above. We encourage all families to review both guides before classes begin so dancers arrive at their first class with the appropriate attire and footwear.

CLASS PLACEMENT

Teachers will be reviewing each student's class placement throughout the first month of the season. If a teacher feels that a dancer would benefit from moving up or down a level, you will be notified. Our goal is to ensure that every dancer is learning, growing, and being appropriately challenged at their own individual pace.

DROPPING A CLASS

If a student decides to drop a class, the request must be submitted via email.

Please plan to have your dancer finish out the current month. Class fees cannot be credited, refunded, or transferred to another class or account.

MAKEUP CLASSES & ABSENCES

We will provide a makeup class sheet for students who miss class due to illness or other occasional absences. Makeup classes are intended for short-term or occasional absences and cannot be used for long-term absences due to other commitments. If your dancer's class conflicts with a fall sport or another ongoing commitment, tuition must still be paid in order to hold their spot in the class.

 PLEASE REPORT ALL ABSENCES

If your child will be absent for any reason, please email Miss Jen at tdflincolnri@gmail.com with:

Dancer's Name | Class | Teacher

This allows us to keep accurate attendance records and ensures Miss Jen is aware of the absence.

PARKING LOT & TRAFFIC FLOW

Please review the attached parking lot map for our traffic flow and parking procedures.

For the safety of all of our dancers, we ask that everyone follow the designated traffic pattern and parking lot guidelines.

 IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER

Students should never wait outside alone for a parent or guardian.

Please make sure your dancer remains inside the studio until you arrive for pickup.

LOBBY CONGESTION

During the first few weeks of the season, please expect the lobby and parking lot to be a little busier than usual! We will have many new families coming into the studio, getting familiar with the building, drop-off and pickup procedures, and finding their way around.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we all settle into the new season. Things will begin to move more smoothly once everyone gets comfortable with the routine.Thank you for your patience and understanding!

WATER BOTTLES

TDF provides a water dispenser for our dancers; however, cups are not provided.

Please make sure your dancer brings a labeled water bottle to every class.

QUESTIONS & COMMUNICATION

We want to make sure every TDF family feels informed and prepared throughout the season.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Miss Jen at tdflincolnri@gmail.com.For questions regarding payments or automatic payment setup, please contact Miss Vickie at tdflincolnri@gmail.com.
